It is hoped that there will be some volunteers to help with the work required to bring the Village green up to a good standard. (It is already in reasonable shape so improvements should not prove too difficult to achieve.)

Regarding the recent flooding problems. Cllr Dave Williams, 2009
Complained several days ago to the Engineer of the Highways & transportation department on behalf of the Residents of Charltons, Margrove Park & Boosbeck.
During Sundays rain fall the drains at the top of Charltons were just
coping with the water coming from the farm, any more and the houses would
have flooded. The road at the woodland Centre Margrove Park had deep water covering half of it.
Whitby lane was as bad also at the bottom of Church drive
Boosbeck.
The rain was not that heavy and only lasted for about 12 hours.
Residents are worried they are going to get flooded out again especially in
Charltons
Regards
Dave.
